Fun For 50+
While the term seniors may not be for everyone over the age of 50, these Wellness Centres definitely are! Find your friends, whether new or old at our next meet up.
The Gaspé Wellness Centre has been running for 10 successful years! At this Wellness Centre, you can expect lots of stimulating activities, a light exercise routine, a chance to get out, socialize, and meet new people, receive information on topics such as health, digital literacy and fraud prevention to name a few, and most importantly have fun!
The only criteria to participate is that you must be 50 years old or over. It is 100% free of charge, but each participant needs to bring their own lunch. The Gaspé Wellness Centre runs from September to June on a bi-weekly basis from 10am to 1pm at the Royal Canadian Legion in Gaspé. If you have any questions, or if you would like to register, please contact one of the coordinators below.
The Barachois Wellness Centre is located at the Royal Canadian Legion in Barachois. This Wellness Centre is open to seniors 50 plus, every second Wednesday from 9:00am to 1:30pm.
Each session consists of lots of activities, informative presentations, chats with a neighbour, and the opportunity to meet someone new. The only thing participants must bring is their lunch, themselves and a good attitude. Once there, you are free to enjoy the day! If you would like more information on joining or when the next one is scheduled, please contact Stephanie, the Barachois Wellness Centre coordinator below.
