Our Programs & Projects
As an organization, we are continuously growing and changing to adapt to best suit the needs of our community. Every year we review the current programs and projects to ensure they are beneficial. This means that they are subject to change. These are our projects and programs for the fiscal year of 2023-24.
APPUI: Caregiver’s Program
We offer numerous workshops and training programs for caregiver’s seniors in our community.
Art Workshops
Different painting and crafting workshops hosted by Stephanie Bond.
Barachois Community Liaison Project

Bilingual Youth Project
Promote activities, events and interactions between English and French youth.
Bright Beginnings
Focuses on improving the well-being of families and children ages 0-17.
Services for Healthy Aging in the Right Places (SHARP) Program
Online educational sessions held throughout the year.
Culture & Arts
Support cultural activities and events in our community.
Educaloi
Promotion of legal resources and information for the English community.
Fierce & Proud Club
Activities offered right after school to youth at both English elementary schools (GES and Belle Anse).
Frozen Meals Program
Assist the Centre d’action bénévole Le Hauban inc. – Gaspé (CAB) with frozen meal delivery to seniors/people in need.
Healthy Early Years Program (HEY)
Activities and informational sessions for families with children 0-8.
McGill Retention Program
This program includes the McGill bursary, as well as promotion of tools, services and opportunities for healthcare & social service students.
McGill Language Program
English language sessions for healthcare and social service professionals to increase bilingualism in the field.
Mental Health Program
Mental health matters. This project promotes the wellbeing of members in our community. Click to read more about this project.
Men’s Outreach Project
Encourage men to get more involved in their community by hosting events and activities.
Prenatal Program
Prenatal sessions in collaboration with the CISSS Gaspésie’s prenatal nurse and consultants.
Travel 4 Health
Assist with Anglophone patients having to travel within Quebec for health appointments.
Volunteer Program
Vision is expanding and so it our team. We want to get our community more involved.
Wellness Centres
We currently have four Wellness Centres for 50+ in Gaspé, Barachois, Murdochville and Maison Quartier.
Youth Mental Health Initiative
This project works to raise awareness, as well as offer resources and connect youth to regional support.
